Based out of Sterling, Virginia, Inertial Labs Inc. was originally founded in 2001 as Innalabs Inc. developing unique inertial sensor technologies as well as inertial sensor based systems. In 2005 Innalabs began its involvement into tasks related to weapon orientation and dismounted soldier training, as well as human orientation tracking for animation through the use of low costs inertial sensor systems. Starting in 2010 the Inertial Labs name was adopted along with changing the company focus from a largely R&D company to a producer of commercial products.

 

Today, Inertial Labs is a designer, developer, and manufacturer of position and orientation tracking systems based on the combination of inertial sensors with a variety of other sensing technologies. With specific engineering expertise that includes the development of gyroscope technologies, gyro-compass systems, Kalman filter design, and sensor fusion; Inertial Labs engineers combine practical experience with PhD level academic knowledge.

 

As a result, Inertial Labs currently boasts a variety of the inertial sensor industry's smallest and lowest cost inertial sensor systems for their respective class of performance: OS3D, GS3D, AHRS and WOM. Additionally, with new product development ongoing, Inertial Labs will soon be expanding our offerings to include low cost solutions that involve optic tracking and celestial tracking.

 

Although having a focus on product development, Inertial Labs has not lost its R&D roots and maintains a strong engineering presence with nearly 75% of our internal staff in engineering. As such, we offer unmatchable support to our product sales including customization services and algorithms development.

 

Also, for government interests, Inertial Labs is currently operating under multiple SBIR Phase III awards allowing us to offer an easy contract avenue to government agencies with a need for development of technologies for specific application requirements.
